Job Title: Mold Repairer

Job Description

This is a 1st shift mold maker position working anywhere from 6 AM to 8 AM for an 8-hour shift. The Tool Maker will support the production efforts by maintaining and repairing our mold tools, reviewing mold tool designs, and making suggestions for improvement. The role also involves problem-solving tooling and part quality issues related to tool conditions, working from blueprints and part drawings to modify and build tools, jigs, and fixtures, and setting up and operating all tool shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mold tools.

• Review mold tool designs and suggest improvements.

• Problem-solve tooling and part quality issues related to tool conditions.

• Work from blueprints and part drawings to modify and build tools, jigs, and fixtures.

• Setup and operate all tool shop equipment.

• Clean, perform preventive maintenance, assemble, disassemble, and stage molds with extreme care and attention to meet production needs.

• Communicate tooling issues effectively and timely to the Tool Room Supervisor and Tooling Engineer(s).

• Maintain an orderly and clean toolroom.

• Operate general toolroom equipment such as Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, manual lathes, TIG/MIG/laser welders, and other shop equipment.

• Provide input on tool design.

Essential Skills

• Experience in mold repair and CNC machining.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and tooling.

• Ability to work from blueprints and part drawings.

• Experience in operating Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, manual lathes, TIG/MIG/laser welders, and other shop equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $68640.00/yr.
