ITW Operations Manager in Grand Prairie, Texas

The Operations Manager is responsible for manufacturing, supply chain, quality, cost reductions, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and plant performance measures. The role ensures timely delivery of a quality product, in quantities that meet sales demand and at a cost that insures profitability and growth consistent with ITW objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust manufacturing plans and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.

  • Direct and drive the operations team to achieve KPI goals for safety, quality, throughput, on-time delivery, cost, and inventory.

  • Ensure that materials are purchased, delivered, stored, and managed to meet the location requirements; conduct demand analysis and gain full understanding of MRD Toolbox application

  • Proactively partner with Engineering, Sales and Marketing on New Product Development initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects and execute on all operational CAPEX projects.

  • Consistently reduces costs through productivity gains and sourcing improvements.

  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and quality

  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations and company standards.

  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.

  • Coaches, mentors, and develops talent within the team. Builds a diverse, high performing team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or similar field required

  • 5+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment including full supervision of a multi-shift team, safety, quality, and supply chain

  • Proven business results of improving operational performance.

  • Experience in a complex, equipment assembly facility is a plus

  • Demonstrated project management experience.

  • Working knowledge of local and federal governmental requirements (OSHA)
