Description:
You will be a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Operational Fires (OpFires) Program, supporting the design, build, and test of a demonstration missile and the development of a tactical/objective missile design. Our team is responsible for creating innovative solutions to complex design issues and delivering high-quality designs that meet program requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
What You Will Be Doing As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed component and subsystem concept designs and maturing those designs to released CREO models following Model Based Definition practices.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Create innovative solutions to complex design issues
• Develop detailed component and subsystem concept designs
• Mature designs to released CREO models following Model Based Definition practices
• Utilize ProE CREO and Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets program requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Candidate must have ProE CREO experience and knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation.
-The candidate must also have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience working air vehicle development and Model Based Design is highly desired.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
