Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will receive flat material and utilize the brake press to form specific parts. You will store material in designated areas and may use a crane to maneuver material for forming. This position may require collaboration with another worker. Effective communication and good listening skills are essential. General cleaning and adherence to safety standards are also part of the role. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for a couple of weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive flat material.

• Form specific parts using the brake press to contour the material.

• Store material in designated areas.

• Use a crane to maneuver material for forming, if necessary.

• Collaborate with another worker as needed.

• Communicate effectively and demonstrate good listening skills.

• Maintain general cleanliness in the area.

• Adhere to safety standards and follow local, state, and federal regulations.

• Perform any other tasks that may arise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in a shop/production environment.

• 1-3 years of press brake experience.

• Ability to read tape measures and knowledge of material types.

• Ability to operate multiple types of saw machines.

• Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Environment

The work environment is a machine/weld shop that is loud and dirty. It is non-climate controlled, providing a challenging yet rewarding workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00
