Hilltop Community Resources Overnight Caregivers/QMAP - The Commons in Grand Junction, Colorado

Are you looking to get into the Caregiving field? Our company is growing our Overnight care teams with individuals who have the heart to provide the very best care possible to our residents all while having fun! In this role, you would be responsible for providing clients with protective oversight and being responsive in meeting the needs and requests of our residents.

Care Specialist 1 positions start at $15.75 per hour. Six months of work experience preferred, but not required.

Care Specialist 2 positions start at $16.50 per hour. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus six months of related work experience preferred. Minimum 18 years of age required.

Overnight and weekend hours are provided with an additional $1.50 per hour! A total of $3.00 extra is earned per hour when these hourly bonuses are both in effect during overnights on the weekend.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:

Providing protective oversight of residents, to include assisting residents, maintaining a safe physical environment, redirecting and assisting disoriented or confused residents, applying and following house rules and honoring resident rights, appropriately reporting and assisting residents experiencing difficulties, and identifying and monitoring visitors to the facility. Providing social supervision, including helping with transport and ambulation to events, assisting with communication of and attendance to social events, sending, delivering and reading mail upon request, and assisting with general socialization. Providing for the sanitation and safety of residents, including monitoring the safety of the living and common areas, removing and reporting any safety hazards, maintaining safety supplies, redirecting residents away from unsafe areas or situations, etc. Assisting with transportation, including assisting riders on and off of the transport bus or van. Doing laundry, including resident's personal laundry, (linens, towels, aprons, washcloths as needed), and cleaning of laundry areas. Providing cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, and work areas. Assisting residents with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, taking them to the dining room, preparing them for bed, etc). Promoting and participating in positive customer relations by learning and using resident names; acknowledging residents and visitors; answering the phone as needed; having knowledge of the facility, where to direct people, and how to access resources; maintaining confidentiality; and demonstrating a positive attitude. Answering radio, pager, and the resident request system. Serving drinks, cleaning tables, and cleaning dishes. Performing minor first aid. Providing protective oversight of the residents. Other duties as assigned.
