Joyful Journey Preschool Assistant Teacher in Grand Junction, Colorado
POSITION: Assistant Teacher
REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and be professionally prepared to teach young children. In addition, he/she must be able to meet the requirements of city and state licensing agencies.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Ideal candidate has experience in Early Childhood Development and has or is pursuing an Associate's Degree or higher. Preferred candidate is also group lead qualified or in pursuit of qualification (requires two early childhood education courses).
DUTIES: Assist the classroom Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom for 3-4 year old children. Primary responsibilities include: 1. Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment. 2. Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance. 3. Establish positive and productive relationships with families. 4. Maintain a commitment to professionalism.
WAGE: $14.42 hourly (non-exempt). This is the base amount; pay scale is based on relevant experience and certifications.
