Job Summary:
A downstroke operator is responsible for compacting textiles in a special machine that compresses the textiles for bailing. The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient use of this equipment. The operator must be able to lift and place materials into the downstroke. Operators must be able to comply with all safety guidelines and perform pre and post-operational checklists on equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the downstroke machine for compressing textiles.
Safely load and place materials into the downstroke.
Ensure all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
Perform pre and post-operational checklists on equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals.
Qualifications:
Must be over the age of 18.
Prior warehouse and equipment operation experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift and handle materials.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes.
Positive attitude and team player mentality.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
