Job Title: Pipe Layer

Job Summary:

A Pipe Layer is responsible for installing and repairing underground piping systems for water, sewer, drainage, and other utilities. This role involves heavy physical labor, including working in confined spaces and at various heights. Candidates with Heavy Equipment Operating experience will be considered for highest offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and Interpret Blueprints : Understand and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the piping systems.

  • Trench Digging : Use trenching tools to dig trenches to the required depth and width.

  • Slope Checking : Ensure slopes conform to requirements using levels or lasers.

  • System Testing : Test pipe systems for leaks and other issues.

  • Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Collaboration : Work with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : Proven work experience as a Pipe Layer.

  • Skills : Ability to read blueprints and specifications, proficiency in using trenching tools and welding equipment.

  • Physical Stamina : Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work in various environmental conditions.

  • Attention to Detail : Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality installations.

Additional Duties:

  • Equipment Operation : Operate heavy machinery to move and position pipes.

  • Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

  • Problem-Solving : Address and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.

Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands : This job involves significant physical activity, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

  • Work Conditions : Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
