Job Title: Fiber Technician

Job Description

As a Fiber Technician, your primary responsibilities will include pulling cable through pathways, assisting higher-level technicians, running and handling materials, and utilizing hand/power tools. You will be required to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights. Your role is crucial in maintaining and expanding our infrastructure.

Hard Skills

• Ability to pull cable through pathways, terminate, and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6)

• Experience pulling fiber

• Familiarity with cable tray, ladder rack, j-hook installation, and rack assembly

Soft Skills

• Comfortable with heights

• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Goodyear, Arizona.

Work Environment

You will be working in various data centers including Vantage Data Center, Stream Data Center, Phoenix 7 data center (Microsoft), and Compass Data Center located in Goodyear, AZ. The work environment is hot as there is no AC yet. Our work schedule is from 5:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday and the same hours on Saturday. Steel toe boots are required, and PPE will be provided, including a safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses.
