Forklift Material Handler

Adecco is now hiring for one of the largest manufacturing companies, and this is your chance to work with them in the Santa Barbara area!

The Forklift Material Handler verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, moves product to correct locations using hand truck, forklift or lift truck and ensures quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Reads and comprehends, instructions and follows established procedures.

  • Collects all material and equipment needed to begin the production process.

  • Operates forklift, lift truck, or hand truck to convey, move or hoist product.

  • Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with department supervisor to rectify damages and shortages.

  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

  • Handles labeling, packing, and organizing of product.

  • Selects and pulls accurate product to fill customer orders.

  • Always tracks and maintains inventory of materials and supplies on hand.

  • Ensures product is stored in the accurate location.

  • Reports issues, malfunction, or defective parts with equipment.

  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Sit down or stand-up forklift experience a must.

  • Manufacturing experience a must.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

  • Strong communication and reading skills.

  • Understanding of basic math and the use of a calculator for accuracy of product counts; ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, use decimals and percentages.

Shifts Available:

Shifts are available from Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm with some overtime

Pay Details: $18.39 per hour
