We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to be an active participant on the software development team for Electronic Warfare (EW) projects, working with cutting edge technologies in products that protect our warfighter.

Job Summary:

As a member of the Software Engineering team, you will collaborate with software staff, technical leads and program leadership in support of radar systems or self-protection software development.

What You Will Do:

• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.

• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions. Integration activities culminate on actual hardware environments in addition to live simulations at customers test sites.

• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.

• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.

• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

• Experience with C++, C, Java or similar higher level programming language.

• Experience with data structures and algorithms, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Coursework or equivalent in Real-Time Embedded programming, Software Engineering, Agile/Lean development techniques, Software Integration, Assembly language, Signal Processing, Advanced Algorithm Development, Calculus for Engineers and Scientists

• Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.

The salary range for this role is 59,000 USD - 113,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
