Minimum Qualifications

Education

· Completion of two years of formal Radiologic Technology training in a school approved by the Council of Education of the American Medical Association and certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university preferred.

Licensure/

Certification

ARRT registry preferred.

Experience

· Five years experience as a clinical Imaging setting required.

· Two years experience with a radiology information system and/or PACS required.

· Two years experience with voice recognition software required.

· Meditech/EPIC experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Considerable knowledge of Radiology information systems, PACS and Epic as it relates to imaging processes.

· Knowledge of systems maintenance, analysis and implementation required.

· Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical issues in terms clearly understood by various audiences.

· Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership and responsibility.

· Detail oriented, meticulous, and thorough.

Job Summary

The Imaging Applications Systems Administrator provides a high level of technical support (development, testing, integration and implementation) for applications and interfaces which deliver IT tools and support business functions across the health system. Performs project management, requirements definitions, systems design, analysis, workflow development, problem resolution and vendor coordination. The System Administrator will assist user departments in the analysis and formulation of system requirements, perform comprehensive integrated testing to ensure the quality of the project deliverables, provide end user support and assistance including off hours support, and provide ongoing system support/maintenance and coordinate software upgrades, as well as develop database queries and reports to meet end users specifications, and monitor/support all interfaces and servers for assigned applications. The Systems Administrator will troubleshoot and resolve interface issues between imaging systems and other clinical information systems, promote the use of PACS and the EMR (EPIC) on an inpatient and outpatient basis, work with medical services groups to provide application support, integrate with different clinical systems. The incumbent will share off hour systems support.
