Bigos Management Yardi Systems Manager in Golden Valley, Minnesota

BIGOS MANAGEMENT IS PROUD TO BE NAMED A STAR TRIBUNE TOP WORKPLACE IN 2024 FOR THE 10thTIME LOCATION Golden Valley, Minnesota (hybrid work option available, must be based locally) BENEFITS AND PERKS Competitive benefit package, including HSA employer contribution, and starting 1stof the month after hire 401(k) Plan with employer match Ten paid holidays, no waiting period to receive holiday pay Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and rollover options Volunteer Time Off (VTO), along with additional company sponsored volunteer opportunities Company paid benefits including Life Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Educational Assistance options Rent discount Life Time Fitness Membership discount ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Internal Service * Demonstrates a spirit to serve the needs of internal customers, supporting core business hours (9:00am - 4:00pm Central Time). * Provides expert technology support for all Yardi products and support systems integrated with Yardi. * Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves high-level Yardi-related issues (e.g., resident/applicant portal, CRM, Payment Processing), and determines whether a support case must be opened or if users require additional training. * Leverages the helpdesk platform, specifically in relation to Yardi tickets and creates knowledgebase articles to assist employees. * Formally and informally seeks and responds to feedback from Yardi ticket surveys. * Serves as Yardi Administrator, maintaining strict access control, based on least privilege methodology for all users and vendors within Yardi * Manages system upgrades and maintenance through validation and testing of new software releases, plugins, and patches. * Completes other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Strategy * Partners with Sr. Director of IT on Yardi systems strategy. * Reviews new information from YASC conferences and other Yardi training sessions with Sr. Director of IT to create strategic enhancement plans. * Envisions, develops, and implements new strategies to address complex business issues. Recommends new approaches to improve effectiveness of the department and the services provided. * Actively participates in IT department meetings and other business meetings, sharing insights and providing strategic solutions. * Serves as first level reviewer/approver for all quarterly Yardi invoices to ensure pricing accuracy on software and services. Project Management * Recommends and assists with implementation of new processes to improve overall business/operational effectiveness. * Plays an active role in various Yardi system upgrades and change initiatives. * Collaborates within the IT department and in other functional areas to understand critical business needs. Leadership * Leads and mentors Yardi Support Specialist to ensure effective support is provided to all internal customers. * Provides ongoing feedback and coaching to Yardi Support Specialist to enhance work quality and ensure accountability. * Holds regular one-on-ones, check-ins, and performance conversations, providing timely and specific information to aid in growth and development of the Yardi Support Specialist. Professional Development/Training * Collaborates with Learning & Development team and other departments to create effective training content and job aids. * Schedules and prepares webinars and training for Train-the-Trainer and end-user training sessions. * Maintains outstanding knowledge of Yardi systems and keeps skills relevant by attending Yardi training sessions, networking groups, and the annual YASC conference QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field and 7+years of Property Management experience * Extensive knowledge and experience of 5+ years working with Yardi Voyager 7s, including experience using Yardi Residential modules, Rent Cafe, Payscan, and Payment Processing * 3+ years of experience in direct Yardi system support role * Exp rience with Workflows, Advanced Maintenance, Affordable, Revenue IQ, Job Cost / Construction Manager, ID Verify, Marketplace and Vendor Cafe preferred * Experience with Bill Pay, Forecast IQ and Maintenance IQ a plus * Formal project management training and experience a plus SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Fluent in English and skilled in oral and written communication * Ability to use tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public * Decision-making, problem solving, and time management skills * Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with self-direction * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Yardi system changes and updates * Understanding of general accounting principles as related to Yardi setup and functionality * Problem-solving skills, ability to analyze process-related problems in the context of daily operations and develop effective solutions * Diplomacy in working with a wide variety of users with different technical abilities * Business Acumen (understanding and awareness of how to think about and successfully make effective business decisions) * Detail-oriented with organizational skills and ability to prioritize work tasks PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; strength to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed material and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in-person and over the telephone. Must be able to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions, including climbing stairs and walking the hallways and common areas.
