BluePearl Veterinary Technician Part-Time ER in Golden Valley, Minnesota
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN, is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Part-Time Veterinary Technician (License preferred but not required) to join our fast-paced Emergency, ICU, and Triage departments!

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:
Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
Work with state-of-the-art software such as Cornerstone and Instinct.
Understand the classification of commonly used medications and associated side effects and appropriately monitor therapeutic response.
Administer medications. All medications are dispensed through a state-of-the-art digital pharmacy.
Perform phlebotomy and placing catheters (IVC, PICC lines, IOC, arterial lines, central lines).
Perform NG tube placement and urinary catheter placement.
Performance maintenance of tracheostomy and feeding tubes .
Perform and report on in-house lab work, including advanced systems such as the Imagyst.
Monitor sedated and anesthetic procedures and possess a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment. Examples include high-flow oxygen therapy and ventilator cases.
Remain current on Basic and Advanced R.E.C.O.V.E.R CPR guidelines.
Schedule: Sat/Day, Sun/ON, Wed/ON, and/or Mon/ON
Pay: Starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.
* Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience*
We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.
*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.
Weekday Night (Mon-Fri 6p to 8a):$3.50
Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p):$3.50
Weekend Night (Sat-Sun 6p to 8a):$5.00
