Description We are in the healthcare industry and are currently in search of a Part-Time Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. In this role, you will interact with patients on a daily basis to schedule consultations, follow-up, and post-operation appointments. You will also be required to be proficient in scheduling MRIs and be a key player in our healthcare team, providing excellent services to patients and facilitating important duties in support of healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and schedule patient consultations, follow-up, and post-operation appointments, ensuring a smooth workflow in our healthcare facility.

• Leverage your proficiency in Epic to maximize efficiency and accuracy in patient scheduling.

• Facilitate priority communications between patients and providers via phone, portal, web, chat, and/or fax to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Act as the liaison with hospitals/surgery centers for surgical patients, and carry out prior authorizations on their behalf.

• Greet patients warmly upon check-in and process any outside records they may bring to the visit.

• Following the visit, manage the check-out process including scheduling additional appointments (diagnostic testing and follow up appointments) and coordinating provider orders as appropriate.

• Send summary of care to outside providers and assist patients with insurance forms for medications.

• Monitor provider schedules to confirm all information is available for upcoming patient visits.

• Use your knowledge of surgery scheduling and prior authorizations/insurance to enhance our service delivery.

• Leverage your strong knowledge of Neurosurgery scheduling and Prior Auth’s surgery scheduling to ensure efficient operations. Requirements

• Familiarity with CRM systems

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls

• Ability to manage authorizations

• Knowledge of billing functions

• Experience in creating charts and graphs

• Proficiency in using Epic EMR

• Expertise in patient scheduling

• Experience in assisting patients

• Ability to check patients effectively

• Experience in contacting patients

• Understanding of HIPAA Compliance and Patient Privacy Rule

• Ability to manage patient records effectively
