Boston Government Services AMMTO Critical Materials Analyst in Golden, Colorado

This position serves as a Critical Materials Analyst in the Department of Energy's (DOE) Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office. AMMTO's mission is to support a globally competitive U.S. manufacturing sector that accelerates the adoption of innovative materials and manufacturing technologies in support of a clean, decarbonized economy. The position will Support the AMMTO's Critical Minerals & Materials (CMM) Team with activities including, but not limited to, strategic planning, analysis, technical advising, quick turn responses to senior leadership and Congress, Research, Development, and Demonstration (RD&D) program support, and Research and Development (R&D) Consortia program support.

Responsibilities: Develop and contribute to technical communications (reports, talking points, questions for response, white papers, fact sheets, research summaries, briefings) on subjects related to CMM. Participate, network, and help coordinate stakeholder engagements, workshops and roundtables, and discussion with other experts in CMM-related fields such as permanent magnets, wide-bandgap semiconductors, and/or energy st Conduct technical merit review for RD&D and Consortia concept papers and proposals. Provide technical support and documentation for RD&D and Consortia program management activities. Work closely with Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) AMMTO program managers and staff in a fast-paced team environment. Provide connectivity to other technical areas and cross-cutting programs through activities such as tracking of activities, identifying synergies, and organizing meetings. Support analysis related to CMM supply chains, related technical areas and markets. Diligent and responsive. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements: Familiar with Advanced Materials and Manufacturing programs and technologies specifically Safety System Management (SSM), Critical Minerals & Materials portfolio (refer EERE/AMMTO programs website). Master's degree or higher with 5+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience. Experience in research setting and/or an industrial/manufacturing setting in critical materials or a critical materials-related field. Technical background and knowledge with technology scale-up, supply chain analysis, and/or energy efficiency strategies in critical materials. Proven analytical and written communication skills on highly technical subjects, including distill ng complex content for strategic presentations and publications. Strong interest in energy efficiency, carbon reduction and mitigation technologies, and clean energy. Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced analytical and Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to excel working on self-managed tasks and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Experience in facilitating discussions among diverse stakeholders to identify opportunity areas and solutions to challenges. Successful drug screening. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working or collaborating with DOE or national laboratories. Strong interpersonal communication and team working skills. Strong ability/interest in making connections and building collaborations. Workshop moderation skills would be a big plus.

Work Arrangement: This position is located at Golden, CO/Washington, DC and is a Hybrid Work Arrangement.

Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $100,000 and $140,000 annually is commensurate with experience
