Caterpillar is looking for a dynamic, organised self-starter to join our team as a Purchasing Project Leader ! Improve your career at our facility in Gödöllő, Hungary and be part of a highly motivated global team.
What Will You Do:
Design the optimized Supply Network in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Lead the Total Cost of Supply analyses and network design and improvement projects
Support the implementation of Product Group strategies while collaborating to align with the Category management supply strategies.
Be accountable for operating and monitoring the Global Supply Network procurement functions, as designed, to meet the defined response time, cost, quality and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations, collaborating with business partners and suppliers.
Sponsor, support and participate in facility operations’, product and purchasing organization initiatives (for example new product implementation and continuous product improvement efforts).
The position will support the implementation of Category, Product & Logistics supply management strategies that will create a competitive advantage for our customers by integrating the designed world-class supply network into the facility to deliver local service excellence.
Manage Product Group expectations for Global Supply Network, to deliver benefits required to sustain a competitive advantage.
What You Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Proven knowledge and experience related to strategic procurement methods, technologies and processes
Ability to transform numerical data into business insight (existing knowledge of proficient Excel usage is greatly appreciated)
Great command of both Hungarian and English to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communicationbehaviors.
Aptitude towards negotiating successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Demonstrated practical and theoretical cost modelling knowledge
General understanding and/or existing knowledge of Lean principles is preferred
