Applied Materials’ Advanced Products & Systems Department is searching for an intern to join our team for Summer 2025! The Advanced Products & Systems Group develops new products and systems associated with Ion Implanters, Directional Etch and Plasma Doping. The position will entail the following:

  • Develop a Recipe Generator for the Sculpta Product to support the process development.

  • Develop a data base that leverages existing recipes.

  • Generator will accept process input parameters and will utilize ML, AppliedX or other Applications to generate a recommended recipe or DOE Mid-point with recommended parameter variations.

  • Development ofa GUI that process engineers can interface with Recipe Generator application.

  • Application output to interface directly with Jump for Design-of-Experiments (DOE) – future capability

  • Intern must collaborate and work effectively with process and software engineers.

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’sdegree program in Computer Science

  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

  • Interest in AI applications in semiconductor process equipment and data analysis.

  • Able to collaborate with a cross-functional multi-disciplined development team.

Compensation

$32 - $34 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
