Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver design work packages for installed based projects using technical guidelines, feedback of experience (FOE);

  • Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Center Of Excellence) worldwide;

  • Participate & Launches design review meetings with other COEs and consulting Engineers.

  • Supervise the work of design engineers and draftsmen to Deliver design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM’s.

  • Deliver purchase requests to supply chain.

  • Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost.

  • Collaborate with and assist project engineering managers in project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in generator mechanical design (stators, rotors, bearings, brackets)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong skills in strength of materials,

  • Good knowledge of non-destructive examinations methods, materials and welding

  • Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy.

  • Established communication and leadership skills;

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment;

  • Good analytical skills

  • Team player, positive, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs

  • Ability to travel

  • Knowledge of CAD tools

  • Experience in hydro industry

The salary range for this position is $85,600.00-$142,600.00 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
