Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working in the disassembly department, handling tasks such as sand blasting, grinding, cleaning, and finishing. This is a physical and hands-on position, which involves refurbishing pumps. You will troubleshoot dual product lines, diagnose and repair various types of pumps, and perform maintenance on shop equipment. Your role includes writing technical reports and operating overhead cranes.
Responsibilities
Disassemble units to be repaired.
Clean and inspect all parts from disassembled units.
Evaluate the condition of original parts and refurbish those to be reused.
Develop repair estimates.
Rebuild the unit according to engineering specs, ISAs, and ISO procedures.
Perform maintenance on shop equipment, such as part washers and bead blasters.
Write technical reports describing the nature of malfunctions and the measures taken to repair equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment and refurbish parts.
Use hand and air tools to follow work orders for refurbishing parts for industrial vacuums and air compressors.
Operate overhead crane.
Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude
Experience with hydraulics
Ability to read blueprints
Troubleshooting experience
Proficiency in using hand tools, air tools, and power tools
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
High school diploma or GED
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a military mechanic

Work Environment
First shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, with some required overtime and occasional Saturdays. The facility is very clean and close-knit, with a larger interior than it appears from the outside. You will be working in a leading company that develops and manufactures sophisticated vacuum system products, integral to various industrial processes and scientific applications. We operate in approximately 30 countries and have a rich history serving a $6+ Billion market.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glennwillow, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
