About this position:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for providing support to assigned business units in assessing needs for new or enhanced software. Will use knowledge of existing department responsibilities and job functions to analyze technology/software usage to ensure department is optimizing current technology/software. Responsible for project management for any implementation of new or enhancement of existing technology. This position is in-office and works out of our headquarters in Glens Falls, New York.

Responsibilities

Work with the applicable business units, such as but not limited to Deposit Operations, Branches, and Branch Operations, to identify, recommend and implement areas of improvement for automated workflow and procedures.

Perform project management for implementation of new technology and/or enhancement of existing technology.

Report project and status updates to management; provide ongoing support for various software applications such as FIS Suite, including Teller Capture, ARCA, and ATM Set Up

Work with vendors on performance issues, support tickets, enhancements, upgrades, and upcoming releases.

Review and analyze existing technology to determine needs; eliminate software/applications not in use. Work to optimize underutilized software/applications.

Identify training opportunities within business unit to ensure proficient use of Company systems. Evaluate and ensure systems utilization is as designed.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred

6+ years of experience in banking or financial institution required; supervisory or management experience a plus

Skills/Knowledge:

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and customer centric environment.

Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing resolution to problems

Working knowledge of banking functional/business units

Proven project management skills; must be able to manage multiple priorities and bring projects to completion within required timeframe

Solid analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to relate complex material in user-friendly manner

Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers, management, and vendors

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for periods of time.

Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.

Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs and/or crawl under desks or equipment

The salary range for this position is $60,500.00 - $72,000.00 annually commensurate with experience and education.

Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s incentive programs, subject to individual and company performance.
