About the Role & Team:

We are Disney's Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative agency for Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide. Every day, we create compelling, impactful creative content for one of the most beloved brands on the planet. We are looking for a Sr. Designer, with a passion for incredible design solutions, who lives and breathes typography, photography, layout, shape, and color, keeps up with design trends and technology, has excellent taste, and a proven track record for bringing award-winning design solutions to life.

You will report to the Design Director.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:

  • Create outstanding design solutions that drive the Disney Parks and Resorts business on both the East and West coasts.

  • Collaborate with internal and external creatives, art directors, designers, writers, photographers, illustrators, producers, account managers, project managers and developers.

  • Design high-level design and visual communications for Disney Global Marketing & Sales that tell phenomenal stories through design across all tactics big and small, including large-scale, high-impact campaigns, out-of-home, logos, brand systems, style guidelines, templates, sales and collateral material, and digital and social campaigns.

  • Create animated logos and other animated deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 7-10 years of design experience, self-employed, design firm or ad agency.

  • Must have a proven history of stellar high-level design and visual communication capability; manifested in cohesive branding systems.

  • Extensive design and advertising experience across all media channels – traditional and digital.

  • A love for design, ideas, typography, logos, branding, photography, styling, illustration, color, paper, and printing.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the creative development process and production including mechanicals, imaging, proofing, printing, and digital development.

  • Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to deal with high volume, heavy workload in a fast fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

It would be great if you also have:

  • Ability to travel domestically.

  • Advanced animation and/or motion graphics skills using Adobe After Effects.

  • Hand drawing and lettering skills.

Education

  • BS, BFA, MFA Advertising, Design, or equivalent

The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $112,100.00-$150,200.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
