Responsibilities

This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that drive growth, market share and overall success of Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center and Northridge Hospital Medical Center. The ability to collaborate with senior Hospital leadership, service line Directors, managed care organizations and physicians is a critical component of this position. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Developing and implementing market-specific strategic plans, including service line development, capital planning, physician alignment, and business development initiatives. This involves market assessments, business plan creation, and securing necessary approvals.

  • Growth & Innovation: Leading the identification and development of new programs and services, fostering innovation, and managing initiatives to achieve strategic growth targets.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating effectively with regional leadership, service line leaders, physicians, and other key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful strategy deployment and monitor results. This includes active community engagement to build positive relationships.

  • Physician Recruitment & Alignment: Managing the full physician recruitment cycle for independent providers, from candidate identification and screening to contracting and onboarding. Collaborating with the Physician Enterprise on employed provider recruitment and retention.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Creating, implementing, and monitoring business and tactical plans, tracking performance against key metrics, and providing data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions.

This position requires on-site work, split between Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center and Northridge Hospital Medical Center.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, business administration, marketing) or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of management experience leading teams and projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a proven ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience working within a large, geographically diverse organization.

  • Proficiency in strategic planning methodologies, encompassing short-term tactical planning and long-term strategic vision.

  • Expertise in competitive market analysis and business development techniques, with a proven track record of identifying and developing growth opportunities.

Pay Range

$59.41 - $86.14 /hour
