NDT INSPECTOR - LOGGER - 3rd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various inspection requirements within the NDT department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
• Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
INSPECTION:
Interpret specifications, charts and manuals. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.
Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
• Previous experience working in an NDT department or within an NDT function
• Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
• Personal hand tools may be required.
• May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
