Summary
The Anatomical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for assisting the Anatomical Laboratory Manager in support of various academic goals including preparation for academic activities for multiple courses utilizing three Anatomical laboratories, a multipurpose laboratory, and several other learning spaces. Other activities include assisting the Anatomical Laboratory Manager with maintaining the laboratories, equipment, anatomical specimens, and inventory. This individual will be supporting the laboratories but will not be performing research.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness, repair, and organization of laboratories (three Anatomical, multipurpose, and several other learning spaces), instruments, equipment, models, supply rooms, and AV rooms
Assist Anatomical Laboratory Manager with record keeping, processing, maintenance, and disposal associated with donors and non-human specimens
With oversight of the Course Director and/or Anatomical Laboratory Manager, set up all aspects of the laboratories including equipment, models, specimens, consumables, and course materials prior to each course
Upon the conclusion of each lab, tear down or organize student stations, models, equipment, consumables, and course materials
Assist the Course Director and Faculty with exams
Assist with inventorying laboratory supplies, and receiving, tracking, and stocking incoming orders
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of related work experience required. This position is well suited for individuals with inventory and stocking experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer Skills
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work near wet or humid conditions, in high, precarious places, or in extreme cold, and is exposed to toxic and caustic chemicals and fumes/airborne particles that will occasionally require use of a respirator.
