Administrative (Office) Manager

In this rewarding position you will be an essential part of a team of employees responsible for the manufacture of truck and trailer equipment for the largest do-it-yourself moving company in the world. Primary Responsibilities:

· Support the firm’s day-to-day administration and office managerial responsibilities.

· Maintain training matrix and pay change spreadsheets.

· Managing accounts payable and payroll.

· Maintain fuel tax records and reconcile with DOT.

· Manage the human resources functions of the office including recruiting for open positions, processing new hires and terminations, maintaining personnel records, and completing payroll processes.

· Process all employment documents according to company policy, state, and federal guidelines.

· Supervise support staff.

· Act as a liaison between Team Members and corporate HR (Human Resources).

· Maintain inventory of operational materials, supplies, and all petty cash funds.

· Ensure that all requested reports are done correctly and submitted promptly.

· Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate innovative ideas, resolve problems, and obtain feedback.

· Answer phones and direct calls and/or take messages when needed.

Qualifications:

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Good people skills, a professional appearance, and highly organized.

· Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office programs.

· Knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
