Job Descriptions:
Kratos Defense and Rocker Support Services (KDRSS) is hiring a degreed engineer to support launch vehicle design, analysis, manufacturing, testing. The engineer will apply appropriate engineering disciplines to support design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical systems, subsystems, and components. Experience in linear and non-linear structural analysis required. Experience in thermal analysis and dynamic analysis is desired. The engineer will also support reviews and documentation necessary for internal and external customers. This documentation can include, but is not limited to: specifications, drawing input, test plans, test procedures, test reports, analysis reports, and design reviews. The engineer will support test programs and analyze the test setup against flight requirements.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Design and analyze launch vehicle mechanical systems and components.
Applies various types of mechanical engineering disciplines in support of design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical,
Prepares appropriate documentation for reviews or other purposes, including but not limited to: specifications, drawing input, test plans & procedures, test and analysis reports, and design reviews
Support test programs and analyze the test setup against flight requirements
Required Experience:
JOB SKILLS:
Required –
Experience in structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations
Must be versatile with CAD
U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred –
Experience with the design & analysis and testing of aerospace structures
Previous DoD contract support experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
B.S Engineering Degree
Master’s Degree w/ appropriate skills shown through graduate school and internship experience
Travel: Up to 30% travel is anticipated
