Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in Perry Hall, Maryland, United States. The role involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy of financial records and supervising the accounting team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including those of foreign subsidiary companies, to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines.

• Supervise the accounting close processes and facilitate the reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

• Regularly review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.

• Play an integral role in the annual budget preparation process, collaborating with department heads in developing budgets.

• Oversee the processing of payroll.

• Supervise team members responsible for recording transactions or payments in the organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable systems.

• Ensure transactions or records are entered accurately and in a timely manner.

• Assist external auditors in periodic auditing of the organization's financial records and statements.

• Lead a team of accounting professionals, delegate tasks, identify opportunities for employee development and growth, and provide continuous performance feedback.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller position or similar role

• Strong knowledge and experience in Global Manufacturing and Manufacturing processes

• Proficiency in Epicor ERP software is required

• Demonstrated expertise in managing Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is an advantage

• Excellent financial and analytical abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage various projects simultaneously

• Proven leadership and team management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
