This is a job for a Sr Sales Forecasting Analyst located with a company in the Glen Allen, VA area.
Job Summary: The role involves analyzing sales forecasts and collaborating with personnel to recommend changes, while generating and maintaining reports using Logility, Cognos, and Excel for supply chain distribution. Additionally, it requires communication of supply issues due to forecast changes, summarizing trends for senior management, maintaining system settings, and assisting with special projects as needed. This position is hybrid, on-site 3 days per week.
Responsibilities: Analyze forecasts supplied by Sales personnel. Make recommendations for forecast changes based upon analysis performed. Request calculations and/or documentation that support the sales forecast. Collaborate on this information and arrive at a consensus forecast. Analyze forecasts companywide Develop, maintain and generate reports for distribution throughout Supply Chain using the Logility software, Cognos and Excel. Develop and maintain reports to analyze forecasts -- reports may be account specific depending upon requirements. Communicate issues with supply that result from forecast changes and/or customer order patterns and vice versa. Responsible for summarizing forecast trends, issues and opportunities, and preparing recommendations for actions for assigned accounts. System maintenance including new items, Logility settings, etc. Written and Verbal Internal Communication with Senior Management to explain/defend the forecast. Assist with special projects as necessary.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or a combination of education and experience will be considered. 3-5 years' experience. Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Excellent PC skills, especially using MS Excel.
