Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant for a growing company located in Glen Allen, Virginia.

This Senior Accountant opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily, monthly, and year-end financial activities, including amortization, accruals, and various account reconciliations.

  • Implement, monitor, and manage accounting policies and procedures related to amortization and accruals.

  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial statements ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Conduct detailed amortization and accrual analysis to provide insight and recommendations.

  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in alignment with GAAP and compliance with internal policies and regulations.

  • Oversee and reconcile complex transactions and accounts

  • Develop amortization schedule for intangibles and fixed assets.

  • Collaborate with the auditing team for the annual audits, providing all necessary reports and support.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A CPA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience. Prior experience as a Senior Accountant in amortization and accruals management is ideal.

  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, specifically relating to amortization and accruals.

  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.

  • Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
