We are in search of a Payment Operations Specialist I to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. In this role, you will be expected to leverage your understanding of the ACH/Wire networks and electronic payments industry. You will be tasked with providing support in the daily processing of wholesale business banking and consumer payments, as well as answering calls and handling reporting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound wire processing and exceptions, with additional focus on Consumer International Wires.

• Respond to inquiries and requests from customers and other bank personnel within established service level agreements.

• Support other ACH/Wire teammates in maintaining operational efficiency.

• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the bank's BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.

• Ensure excellent service is provided to both internal partners and external customers.

• Identify and resolve issues within the assigned function.

• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

• Meet and maintain daily production goals with a high level of quality.

• Provide customer service by answering incoming calls and addressing a wide range of questions and inquiries.

• Perform account or system level maintenance related to ACH/Wire products and services.

• Use system tools and resources to remediate any reported outages.

• Participate in project-level tasks and assist in various areas as needed.

• Develop and maintain knowledge of bank products and services, including other lines of business.

Requirements • Proficiency in customer service and office functions

• Strong skills in reporting and operations management

• Familiar with up-to-date procedures and policies

• Experience in answering inbound calls and ensuring compliance

• Capability in payment processing and conducting research

• Understanding of quality control measures

• Experience in supervising a team

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks

• Awareness of regulations and network systems

• Experience in receipt handling and managing partnerships

• Knowledge in consumer electronics and maintaining confidentiality

• Understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) procedures

• Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations

• Ability to communicate effectively with external customers

• Strong written communication skills

• Proficiency in operating phone systems
