This is a job for a Application Developer, WMS position with a company located in the Glen Allen, VA area.
Job Summary: We are seeking qualified candidates for Application Developer, WMS at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. We work under aggressive timelines and shifting priorities, with a re-design and continuous improvement objective to take advantage of, and implement, native product functionality and industry-leading practices and processes while changing and decommissioning unnecessary, inefficient, and non-value-added processes, procedures, designs, and practices. This position is responsible for the development of enhancements to our Korber (HighJump) WMS system and corresponding interfaces to our Epicor ERP using WebWise Page Editor, Advantage Architect, and T-SQL. This position will work closely with our Korber (HighJump) Team for technical direction and guidance and operations functional guidance.
Responsibilities of the position include: Research, analysis, and design of complex end-to-end systems, interfaces, data, and processes that have an extremely high degree of variation. Participate in gathering requirements and projects with functional leaders with a sharp focus on simplification, process, and operational efficiencies. Recommend possible solutions and new designs and components, alternatives to evaluate based on function/customer needs and strategic roadmap. Assist in the creation and make recommendations for the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Develop new, industry-leading designs, components, and specifications for complex solutions. Implementation of projects as well as design and testing within ITGC guidelines and without sacrificing productivity and growth for all current and future strategic business operations and future upgrades. Develop technical product and process documentation as well as education and training materials for use with business partners. Participate in peer code reviews through change management and problem management - congruent with ITIL practices.
Requirements of the position include: BS Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or Systems or related technology field. 10 or more years' experience in IT. 5+ years of T-SQL experience. 5+ years of Korber (HighJump) development experience. Strong communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into sustainable designs for solutions. Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies, with a desire to coach and assist team members.
