Allied Health Rehabilitation Services Manager

As the Services Manager, you will oversee all treatment services provided to individuals and their families, monitor the quality of care delivered, and ensure compliance with external regulations and company standards.

Summary:

The Allied Health Rehabilitation Services Manager oversees and coordinates the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services provided by allied health professionals in a home health or clinical setting. This position ensures that all rehabilitation programs, including physical, occupational, and speech-language services, meet organizational standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and deliver exceptional patient care. The manager will lead a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, manage day-to-day operations, and drive the efficiency and effectiveness of rehabilitation services. Additionally, the role involves strategic planning, staff development, budget management, and fostering strong relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and families to support comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate overall therapeutic services. Promote a team concept and function as a collaborative partner with Clinical Services to promote high-quality, cost-effective rehabilitation services.

  • Coordinate and oversee assessment, treatment, program planning, development and implementation, and related documentation communication.

  • Provide treatment to persons served appropriate to age group and diagnosis, working as part of a dynamic program serving residents with varying diagnoses, including amputations, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, brain injury/stroke, and general medical rehabilitation.

  • Consistently plan appropriate methods and quantity of treatment as determined by resident needs and departmental standards, utilizing safe and effective means of treatment.

  • Communicate treatment goals and plans effectively in rounds and conferences; educate and train individuals served, their families, and their caregivers effectively.

  • Oversee Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Services, and Vocational Counseling staff of all levels of experience, providing supervision, support, and staff development; act as spokesperson for the team in program-based activities. Responsible for quality improvement and community education.

  • Complete special projects such as participation in presentations, research, and others as assigned by the Administrator; provide accurate and timely reports.

  • Responsible for continuously improving and/or enhancing job performance by attending in-services as requested/required, providing in-services as needed, participating in and contributing to committees, attending required continuing education, and setting and achieving yearly performance goals.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree is preferred.

  • Current state licensure is good for PT, OT, and SLP (CCC is also required).

  • 3-5 years of management experience in a rehabilitation facility is preferred.

  • Experience/expertise in treating residents with a variety of general rehab diagnoses, including brain injury, orthopedics, medical rehab, amputee, and neurological impairments required (PT, OT, and SLP).

  • Current certification in CPR, health care provider status.

  • Therapeutic Options training every year.

  • Professional membership preferred.

  • If driving for the company or transporting individuals receiving services, you must have a current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.

  • QMRP/QIDDP designation as required by the state.
