North American Stainless Senior QC Engineer-Digitalization in GHENT, Kentucky
Senior QC Engineer—Digitalization. Oversee quality control for stainless steel production, including training and supervising materials engineers and other engineers and employees; With Technical Department oversee development of digitalization tools to improve cost, quality, and efficiency for all areas of the stainless steel mill. Oversee the monitoring of how materials perform in the stainless steel manufacturing process and evaluate material deterioration, using digitalization tools. Oversee the Company’s total quality program through the use of digitalization tools to improve cost, productivity, yields and customer requirements by reviewing materials requirements for stainless steel. Work with technical personnel, operation personnel, and digitalization department to develop models designed to analyze and reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency of stainless steel output. Assist in determining the causes of product failure and ways to overcome such failures through digitalization techniques. Develop and construct data infrastructure, systems implementation, testing (including creep testing of stainless steel), and support, related to materials use and manufacturing systems for flat products stainless steel products and long products stainless steel products. Develop standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, and testing related to such materials use and manufacturing systems. Develop new project plans, co-ordinate projects, and manage project team activities. A master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Energy and Materials and proficiency in performing creep testing of stainless steel as shown by six months of experience in this area are required.
