Basic Job Functions:
The Project Engineer manages projects from conceptual designs to installation and project closing, and provides support for Maintenance and the Operating Departments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing engineering design and analysis (pumps, piping, buildings, and process equipment); managing projects and providing project support; performing project management activities (estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost control); developing project management principles and providing leadership for multi-discipline teams; providing for plant growth and identifying equipment alternatives; leading and supervising project team members and contractors; and providing technical support for basic maintenance, wiring, troubleshooting, developing electrical optimization models, electrical drive design and tuning, and PLC support.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of mechanical & electrical processes in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel industry
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Two years of experience in engineering and one year of experience in project management (equipment upgrades, installation, commissioning)
Drafting experience and working knowledge of utilities, basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience in hiring and leading outside engineering firms and multiple contractors on fast-track projects.
