Overview
This position is responsible for managing the procurement efforts of the generating station related to, including purchasing, contract negotiation and administration, and invoice processing. The position may also provide contract negotiation and administration services to multiple company Power Generation sites or support groups.

Responsibilities
Understand the internal business requirements and effectively manage the process of (re) negotiating and implementing high quality commodity and service agreements that meet internal business requirements. Through these agreements, ensure that spend is aggregated locally, fleet wide, and enterprise wide as applicable, and that the supply base is diversified yet provides sufficient business coverage.
Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency, drive down internal process costs, mitigate risks, achieve economies of scale, meet the needs of the internal customers, and reduce the cost of goods and services.
Implementation and utilization of metrics to track progress and drive efficiencies in the procurement process.
Establish a collaborative environment with suppliers, internal customers, and support groups that ensure effective, long-term business relationships.
Manages all processes related to purchasing, contracts administration, invoice processing and vendor payments for the generating station.
Manages processes to ensure commercial terms for contracts and purchases are followed and achieved.
Develops/maintains a strategic procurement plan that aligns with the Power Generation O&M and Capital Business Plans.
Establishes and maintains financial and business procedure controls at the station to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Develops employee performance evaluations and takes an active role in mentoring, managing, and improving performance of employees under their direction.
Develops/maintains sufficient knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance to understand, effectively communicate and report non-financial goals and concerns (i.e., equivalent availability, starting reliability, equivalent forced outage rate, etc.).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, law, or engineering.
Five years of progressive responsibility in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, engineering, law and/or procurement.
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and computer skills.
Assertive, self-confident, accepting of new challenges; results oriented with the ability to turn concepts into finished products with minimal direction.
Work Conditions
This position will report in person on a hybrid schedule. Normal office environment and some annoyable exposure to heat, cold, stress, dirt, noise, etc. in normal power station and construction environments. Occasional field work and overnight travel when necessary
Physical Effort
Primarily sitting. However, must be capable of standing, walking and climbing in conjunction with managing various plant projects

Remote Work
The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change.
