iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

As Information Specialist VIE in our Intellectual Property team you will analyze the fast-growing competitive landscape; perform a detailed analysis of the obtained market information and in-depth competitive intelligence knowledge on the antibody and single variable domain space.

Sanofi R&D Ghent is engaged in the development of Nanobody® therapeutics based on single variable domain fragments, which combine the advantages of conventional antibody drugs with some of the features of small-molecule drugs. Nanobody® single variable domains have potential uses in the treatment of a range of serious and life-threatening human diseases. Sanofi advances a portfolio of Nanobody® therapeutic programs in several major disease areas, including inflammation, hematology, immuno-oncology, and oncology.

Main responsibilities:

  • Map global competitive landscapes using various market screening and search tools.

  • Analyze the competitive landscape of single variable domain technologies and other antibody modalities, gathering market information on new products and technologies.

  • Collaborate with Sanofi’s competitive intelligence, market search, analytic teams, and external search tool providers.

  • Monitor key competitors, analyze market information, and review competitor publications to gather specific product and technology data.

  • Update, report, present, and discuss analyses in interdisciplinary team meetings and with stakeholders.

  • Interact with Sanofi scientists, IP professionals, and internal stakeholders, contributing to data evaluation and strategic positioning.

  • Work with scientists and IP professionals to define roadmaps for new projects, IP filings, and enforcement.

  • Gain expertise in competitive intelligence, market screening, and search tools, applicable to antibody, single variable domain spaces, and other market segments.

About you

Experience:

  • Experience in detailed Competitive Intelligence analyses.

Soft and Technical skills:

  • Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.

  • Experience in detailed Competitive Intelligence analyses.

  • Outstanding analytical skills.

  • You are proactive and take initiative.

  • You easily obtain rapid and solid expertise in specific IT market screening and searching tools and databases (e.g. Cortellis, PatSnap)

  • You are proficient in English (written and oral).

  • You are a good communicator, coordinator, team player, and have good relational skills.

  • You are a motivated self-starter, who is keen to contribute to an interdisciplinary team in more ways than merely handling assigned projects.

  • You are flexible, creative and enthusiastic.

  • You have a thorough awareness of confidentiality matters and are discreet with confidential information.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in biology or biochemistry (Applied Biology, Molecular & Cell).

Languages:

  • English is a must.
