Hiring for a Facilities Technician

Location: Getzville, NY

Pay: $41,000 - $52,000

Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Technician responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of classrooms and other areas of the agency’s property. This role involves traveling to other locations, performing light electrical and plumbing repairs, inspecting classroom areas to ensure custodial work is properly done, and responding to requests for supplies, cleanups, and garbage removal.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintenance of classrooms and other areas of the agency’s property, including traveling to other locations.

• Perform light electrical and plumbing repairs.

• Inspect classroom areas to determine if custodial work was properly done.

• Respond to requests for supplies, cleanups, and garbage removal.

• Assist in the moving of office and institutional furniture and equipment.

• Perform painting, drywall repairs, light fixture repairs, plumbing repairs, and building repairs.

• Conduct snow removal and salting during the winter.

• Handle trash removal.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm with availability approximately one Saturday or Sunday a month for about 2 hours, totaling 37.5 hours a week. The role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate any needs and shifts in agency operating hours and the ability to fill in when other staff members are absent. You must be able to respond to emergency situations.
