Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Germantown, Tennessee

Description Robert Half is actively searching for a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join an innovative team. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. You will have an opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Germantown, Tennessee area.

Responsibilities

  • Help with internal and external audits as required

  • Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

  • Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

  • Operate full-cycle A/P

  • Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

  • Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

  • Perform special projects as assigned Requirements - Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases
