The position is located in our Maryland office. The successful candidate will enjoy a rich and fulfilling career with a variety of responsibilities ranging across the entire life cycle, including: initial conceptual system design; analysis, simulation, and specification; implementation; integration and test; performance monitoring; and end-of-life transition to the next system. We are looking for someone with broad experience to work on our next generation LEO/MEO/GEO satellite communication systems, and a willingness to do even more.
Responsibilities:
Review internal or external requirements for satellite systems; refine or generate appropriate system-level requirements
Analyze, model, and simulate candidate designs.
Develop system level algorithms such as for power control, timing and frequency synchronization.
Write and review specifications, design documents, reports and presentations
Analyze system requirements and develop system architectures for RF and baseband subsystems.
Develop subsystem requirements, specifications and technical evaluations
Conduct link budgets analyses, block and signal level analyses, and, trade off studies
Analyze RF performance and conduct simulations and measurements to determine signal integrity, crosstalk, coupling, noise, insertion loss, return loss.
Develop algorithms for calibration of antenna subsystems in fixed and mobile user terminal installations
Develop constellation modeling and analyses for LEO/MEO/GEO satellite systems and conduct analyses against regulatory masks.
Document detailed designs and present them internally and to external customers
Requirements:
BSEE in electrical engineering with emphasis on signal analyses and RF/microwave engineering
