The Georgetown Mill is hiring for the Wastewater Operator Line of Progression, which will start out in our laboratory and advance to our next generation of highly skilled Wastewater Operators. Position Title:

Wastewater Operator Line of Progression/Technician 2

Pay Rate:

$29.15/hr. up to $34.07/hr.

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time

Lab -Day Shift– 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

WW Operators- 12 hr rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum high school graduate, GED or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum South Carolina D Level Biological Wastewater License obtained with the expectation to obtain a C, B and A Level License over time

  • Must be:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Eligible for employment in the U.S.

  • Must be able to:

  • Read and understand detailed written procedures

  • Perform critical routine testing and analysis in various areas of the Mill

  • Operate or work from elevated work surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)

  • Work around heavy machinery

  • Demonstrate time management and organization skills

  • Must wear required safety equipment (PPE)

  • Must undergo an initial drug screen and periodic drug screens for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment

  • Participate in New Hire Integration (NHI) Orientation

  • Successful completion of 125 day probationary period after NHI Orientation

Mill Conditions:

  • Must be able to:

  • Operate or work in industrial conditions

  • Acclimate to a fast-paced environment

  • Work in warm/hot, dusty/dirty and around hazardous chemicals (with proper safety training and safety protection)

  • Work around high noise levels (with proper safety training and safety protection)

  • Work on various holidays
