Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Description
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
Qualifications
1+ year of AR experience - B2B
Experience handling a volume of 40 payments a day
ERP experience (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
Proficiency in Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, import/export reports, data manipulation, IFERROR
Understanding of overall AR processes
Accounting experience for month-end reconciliations
Highly professional, especially in email communication
Detail-oriented
Interactive personality with strong communication skills
Comfortable with very repetitive work at a high volume
