Robert Half is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role is within the logistics industry and requires handling dispatch duties, data entry, and customer service in a call center setting. The role also involves logistics and distribution tasks, including coordinating with freight carriers and managing shipping and receiving processes. This position is for a 3rd shift opening with a schedule of Tuesday-Saturday 12:00am-8:00am with occasional overtime. Apply today to be considered! This role will not be available long!

Responsibilities:

• Manage dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods

• Handle data entry tasks, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in record-keeping

• Deliver excellent customer service in a call-center environment, resolving inquiries and issues promptly

• Coordinate with freight carriers to ensure seamless logistics operations

• Oversee logistics and distribution processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods

• Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation

• Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action as necessary

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

Requirements • Proficient in dispatching and managing logistics operations

• Capable of accurate data entry and record-keeping

• Knowledge and understanding of the logistics industry and its trends

• Experience in call center customer service, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with freight carriers, their operations and coordination

• Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes and best practices

• Experience in shipping and receiving, including documentation and inventory control

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in using logistics software and other related IT tools.
