Summary
This is a promotional position that oversees the production lines or areas processing poultry products, assisting the department supervisor in the daily operation coordination the workforce, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Requires working with raw poultry products.Usually works five to six days a week; hours and overtime vary due to production need, generally 4:30 pm - 3:00 am.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- To perform all positions within the department as outlined in the job description in order to release and train associate.
- To direct the workforce within the department in order to ensure all positions are filled and performed according to daily production needs and standards.
- To coordinate and initiate the rotation schedule every two hours to meet OSHA safety requirements and ensure all Perdue safety policies. Make sure all associates in department are wearing proper P.P.E. and are rotated properly.
- Take an active role in training new hires in order that they meet department goals.
- Check with supervisor daily for orders. Notify maintenance of repairs need or of any downtime.
- Assistwith daily reports.
