Finger Lakes Health ACTIVITIES SUPERVISOR in Geneva, New York
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Administrator-Long Term Care or VP LTC, and in accordance with established policies and procedures and federal guidelines, provides supervision to employees /volunteers assigned to the Activities/SPEC NEEDS – NEURO BEHAV departments develops and implements group and individual activity programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum :
Associates Degree in related field
Preferred :
Theraputic Recreation Specialist
LICENSE:
Preferred :
Recreational Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum :
Minimum of two (2) years full time paid experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program
SKILLS:
Minimum :
Requires a sensitive and reassuring approach to residents/patients.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point
Preferred :
Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.
Salary Range: $60,255-$60,255
