Senior Technician / Lab Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently plan, prioritize and execute experiments based on instructions provided by the Scientist in charge.

• Deliver reliable results on time, on scope, with fit-for-purpose quality. This implies processing GC and LC chromatograms and interpret data with rigor.

• Apply advanced spectroscopic approach to characterize polymeric materials.

• Manage samples storage and maintain clean and well organized laboratory/work place, including the maintenance of the laboratory and the instruments.

• Report work progress in a laboratory notebook, technical reports and during project review meetings.

• Actively contribute to the global safety, health and environment protection in the team and beyond.

You Bring:

• Swiss CFC or B.Sc. with at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the Flavors & Fragrances industry.

• Solid practical and theoretical background in sample preparation and separation sciences (GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, including troubleshooting experience) in fields such as volatiles and non-volatiles quantification/identification.

• Skills and hands-on experience in analytical methods for characterization of solids ( e.g. IR, microscopy).

• Experience in related fields such as polymer analysis, advanced data processing, database creation would be a plus.

• Rigor, open-mindedness, team spirit and problem solver attitude.

• Fluent in French, working knowledge in English preferred.
