SUNY Geneseo is hiring a marketing communications manager to lead marketing strategies for undergraduate, graduate, international, and transfer student recruitment. The manager will strategize, plan, and execute integrated marketing efforts to meet enrollment targets of prospective students through the applicant life cycle from inquiry generation through enrollment.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills who is self-directed, collaborative, and data-driven. The marketing communications manager must demonstrate return on investment across multiple acquisition channels, including but not limited to organic and paid search, paid advertising, purchased lists, email marketing, social media marketing, and optimized websites. This position will report to the chief communications and marketing officer with a dotted line to the director of web strategy.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields such as public relations, English, journalism, marketing
Strong copywriting and content development skills for various digital and print media.
Proficiency in creating and managing inbound marketing strategies to attract and convert leads.
Expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO , SEM , CRM , social media, email marketing, and content management systems (eg Slate, GA4, GTM , AdWords, and Meta Business Suite).
Skilled in analyzing marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.
Ability to manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment and across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in integrated marketing, preferably for higher education, in an agency or in-house setting.

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing communications strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
Utilize inbound marketing techniques to attract and convert leads.
Oversee the production of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and promotional content.
Manage marketing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
