Campus Title Assistant Registrar for Degree Works & Data Analysis
Department Office of the Registrar
Position Summary
The Assistant Registrar for Degree Works & Data Analysis is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Degree Works degree planning and audit system. This includes Degree Works scribing, testing, and analysis as curriculum is revised and system upgrades are rolled out. The position will also be responsible for maintenance of the undergraduate bulletin in Acalog, as well as the integration of curriculum revisions in Curriculog with the Banner student information system.
This person will:
Maintain Degree Works graduation planning system according to college requirements, programs, and policies to ensure that students can accurately monitor their degree progress.
Working closely with the office of the Associate Provost for Assessment and Curriculum, update Degree Works to reflect all curriculum changes passed through college governance.
As needed, train staff and faculty in Degree Works updates; cross-train staff in Office of the Registrar in Degree Works Scribe and analysis.
Test new releases of Degree Works when installed; advise faculty when degree audit for programs needs clarification/modifications; enter approved waivers into Degree Works as requested through internal waiver system.
Maintain and update the undergraduate bulletin using Acalog.
Assist in continued implementation and integration of Curriculog with existing university systems.
Analyze Registrar’s Office data, particularly as it pertains to the transfer articulation databank, to ensure it is flowing appropriately into Degree Works audits and to improve the data integrity and process flow.
Assist with the implementation of automatic update of Banner with Curriculog data using DIGARC’s ETHOS integration.
Act as part of the Registrar’s Office team to provide a high level of customer service to Geneseo students, faculty, and staff.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree by time of appointment.
A commitment to the campus values of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Previous professional experience with curriculum processes.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, research, and communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate on complex issues and projects.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently and as part of a team.
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple assignments and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years or more of experience with academic programs/processes and/or curriculum processes.
Previous experience programming a degree audit package, especially Degree Works.
Knowledge of computerized student information systems (e.g. Banner, Degree Works or similar degree audit software, report writers).
