Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to production

  • To carry out the material warehouse organization and manpower planning in coordination with the Planning team, to implement the approved organizational and manpower plans

  • Ensuring the supply, stocking, distribution of all kinds of raw materials, inputs and other consumables and auxiliary materials used in production and keeping the records of these works

  • Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.

  • Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy

  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels

  • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy

  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.

  • Ensure all documentation to be recorded and kept completely tidy and right way in the area of responsibility

  • Determine and enable the training necessity for the plant personnel in EHS, quality, lean manufacturing etc.

  • Tracking the legal changes and press in the area of responsibility, inform the management about these changes to take necessary actions

  • Ensure the team to work in compliance with GE Vernova code of conduct, ethics and working rules, tracking the subjects like work done by the personnel, attitude, wearing, continuity/vacancy/rest/overtime etc., listen to their requests, suggestions, make necessary precautions, give information to the management

  • Make 1:1 meeting with the personnel, make team meetings and give feedback to the department manager about them

  • Attend projects, loss analysis, saving activities, lean manufacturing, kaizen events etc. and take active responsibility for the related subjects

  • Attend Daily meetings that is a part of QCDM management system and represent warehouse team

  • Make Gemba tours in the area of responsibility to catch the abnormalities and take necessary actions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering branch, preferably mechanical, industrial, electrical, electronic engineering

  • Min 8-10 years of experience in warehouse operations and logistics processes

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • Having used SAP, WMS, etc. systems in warehouse management

  • Good command of MS Office (especially Excel)
