Otsego County Playgroup Program Coordinator in Gaylord, Michigan
Under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, coordinate the operation of a well-respected community for families of 0-5 year old children. This includes development/monitoring of educational programs such as small and gross motor skill activities, positive toddler socialization, and the integration of caregiver participation.
Salary $15.00 Hourly

Examples of Duties
An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following essential duties. These examples do not include all of the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. 1. Develop weekly activities. 2. Maintain a positive environment and address concerns with the Director of Parks and Recreation. 3. Order/secure/manage all supplies. 4. Promptly handle first aid issues and fill out appropriate accident reports. 5. Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and playgroup equipment. 6. Set-up, clean, sanitize and store playgroup equipment. 7. Implement and enforce safety standards and guidelines for the playgroup. 8. Prepare weekly participation reports as required. 9. Perform related duties as required.
Typical Qualifications
All of the following functions, qualifications, KSA's and duties are essential. An employee in this class, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following: 1. Experience working in an early childhood educational setting with children ages 0-5. 2. Demonstrate the ability to develop creative educational activities. 3. First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification. 4. Creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm. 5. Ability to work with a wide variety of people. 6. Ability to manage time in an efficient manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both in an office and in the field. While in the office, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person and by telephone, read regular and small print, view and produce written and electronic documents and enter data on a computer keyboard with repetitive keystrokes. The employee must be mobile in an office setting and in the field with the ability to stand, sit, stoop and kneel, use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift or push/pull objects of up to 25 lbs. without assistance. Accommodation will be made, if needed, for employees required to lift or move objects that exceed this weight.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud.
